Medical Suites Reaches Topping Off Milestone at D-HUB SEZ BSD City

On April 11, 2026, Sinar Mas Land announced that the construction of Medical Suites within the D-HUB SEZ BSD City has reached its final phase, marked by a topping off ceremony held on April 10, 2026. The project forms part of the Banten International Education, Technology, and Health Special Economic Zone (KEK ETKI Banten), which aims to accelerate the transformation of Indonesia's healthcare sector through internationally accredited medical services, research, and education.

The topping off ceremony was attended by government representatives and Sinar Mas Land officials, including Rizal Edwin Manansang, Acting Secretary General of the National Council for Special Economic Zones. In his remarks, he expressed appreciation for the progress of KEK ETKI Banten, which has recorded Rp1.19 trillion in investment since commencing operations in November 2025, involving 14 business entities and absorbing 836 workers.

Medical Suites is designed as an integrated ecosystem bringing together healthcare services, education, and medical innovation. Building on the success of the previously developed Biomedical Campus (BMC), Sinar Mas Land is targeting the Medical Suites to begin full operations in the fourth quarter of 2026.

The Medical Suites building spans six floors with a total area of nearly 20,000 square meters, offering flexible leasing units ranging from 200 to 2,600 square meters. The building is designed to Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) standards, equipped with optimal ventilation systems, full backup power, and floor load capacities that support the use of advanced medical equipment.

The development of Medical Suites is intended to provide ready-to-operate healthcare facilities for investors — particularly foreign investors — enabling them to begin operations within the SEZ without delay. Beyond healthcare services, the zone is also planned to accommodate a medical university, laboratories, diagnostic centers, and specialist clinics, further strengthening the health and research ecosystem.

As part of the D-HUB BSD City SEZ, Medical Suites offers a range of investment incentives including corporate income tax exemptions, VAT and luxury goods tax relief, import duty waivers, as well as simplified licensing for foreign medical professionals and medical device imports. The zone is also fully integrated with BSD City's business, education, hospitality, retail, and transportation networks — including toll road access and KRL Commuter Line connectivity.
